After reviewing business needs and conducting stakeholder interviews, InvestmentNews was focused on becoming the only platform connecting real-time news to portfolio holdings and then allow for actionable simulation.

To help empower financial professionals to bridge the gap between market news and investment decisions.

Create a mobile application for investors and advisors to understand how current news impacts their specific holdings, with real-time tracking, alerts, and simulations.

It was determined that the application would pursue a freemium business model, which the company has named InvestmentNews Impact Tracker.

[ Impact Tracker Design System ]

The standard InvestmentNews website and app consisted of red and black as the main color scheme. Since the Impact Tracker offered a distinct set of services, the team determined that a separate style guide would help establish its own identity.

To position the app as a premium fintech product, I introduced a dark navy and gold palette to create a sophisticated and high-value aesthetic.

The combination of raster images and vector-based shapes was intentionally designed to evoke emotional connection and visual harmony.

The "BOP" shape emerged from this concept—by removing a corner from a square, we introduced a sense of movement and directional flow throughout each composition.
